Our lives with Goldens started 50 years ago when we bought our first Golden on our honeymoon. That started a wonderful journey that produced over 40 American and Canadian champions to include Best of Breed National Specialty, Group Winners, Field Trialing Champions and Obedience Trial Champions.
IN 1978 we moved to our current location in the Town of Cambria with four acres for our dogs to play on. We noticed how happy they were here and hence the name Happy Acres was born.
In 1995 Havanese came into our lives. We were looking for a toy breed with the great temperament of the Goldens in only a small package. The Havanese is a wonderful toy dog with all the love, devotion and sweet temperament a person could hope for.
We have made raising Goldens and Havanese with gentle, sweet temperaments our priority. All of our dogs have the required health clearances.
